October 8, 2011 was a day that changed everything for Katherine "Katie" Campanella and Elizabeth "Beth" Campanella. The sisters were involved in a tragic car accident that forever changed the Campanella family, in which 11- year-old Katie lost her life and 16-year-old Beth was seriously injured.
"Katie was a fun-loving, energetic, and kind-hearted eleven year old with a smile that lit up the room," said Katie Eagan, a member of Incarnate Word Academy's alumni association.
This year, Incarnate Word Academy's annual spring boutique is in honor of Katie. Although Katie attended , she had aspirations to someday follow in her sister's path and become part of the Incarnate Word Academy community.
