McNair Elementary School Raises $3,500 for the American Heart Association

Students participated by either registering for Jump Rope for Heart or signed-up to play basketball in the Hoops for the Heart program.

McNair Elementary School students in the Hazelwood School District (HSD) jumped to their heart's content for a good cause in February and raised $3,500 for heart disease.

The students took part in the American Heart Association's (AHA) Jump Rope for Heart event. See Hazelwood Patch's slideshow here.

In Jump Rope for Heart, students spend time in physical education classes learning about different jump rope tricks and how jumping rope helps cardiovascular health. Students participated by either registering for Jump Rope for Heart or signed-up to play basketball in the Hoops for the Heart program, according to the HSD.
