MTC Truck Driver Training Expands in Hazelwood
The trade school, which has been operating in Hazelwood since 1993, is adding more training space.

MTC Truck Driver Training is expanding, once again, in Hazelwood.
Dennis Endermuhle and Jeffrey Bauza, representatives with the vocational/trade school, asked the Hazelwood City Council for an expansion of the business' special land use permit. The council then approved the permit and the school now encompasses 12000 Missouri Bottom Road, Suite B, and 12100 Missouri Bottom Road.
Essentially, the school expanded operations to include the lot across from its original location as a training area.

The space became available last year after Walmart decided not to renew its lease agreement for storing its tractor trailers.
MTC has been operating in Hazelwood since 1993. Endermuhle said the company expanded operations to its current location in 2003. In 2010, the company decided to lease additional square-footage at the address and moved all operations there.

Hazelwood City Councilman Robert Aubuchon said he had some concerns about the school and wanted a little assurance the school would follow city code.
"I've been contacted numerous times about code violations," he said. "With this expansion they are going to abide by the laws and I'm not going to get calls about fixing trucks outside on the parking lots and other violations."
Endermuhle said the business is "straight-up" and will continue to be a good neighbor. The company was allowed to expand but has to follow the Hazelwood Planning Commission's conditions which include:
- No servicing or repair of vehicles on site including oil changes; with the exception of changing of tires, adjusting brakes and clutches
- No work on vehicles outside on site
