St. Louis Outlet Mall Shuts Down Early, Boeing Sends Workers Home Due to St. Louis Snow Storm
Boeing is suspending operations during Thursday's second shift for some employees. St. Louis Outlet Mall will reopen at 10 a.m. Friday. Find out about all North County closures.
The thundersnow (as some meteorologist are calling it) has it the City of Hazelwood and St. Louis Outlet Mall and The Boeing Co., are responding as the see appropriately.
St. Louis Outlet Mall, called it quits for the day a 1:30 p.m. That closure affected more than 160 stores and restaurants, but Cabela's is remaining open today.
Mall management said the facility will reopen for regular business hours on Friday at 10 a.m.

The Boeing Co. is also shutting down early today, at least for part of the day. It is suspending operations during Thursday’s second shift.

“Due to ongoing inclement weather, first shift employees are encouraged to return home,” spokeswoman Chamila Jayaweera said in a statement. “Where feasible, employees who have management approval to work remotely can do so in accordance with Boeing procedures."
All “essential maintenance personnel” are still required to report for work and Jayaweera said Boeing officials would decide the fate of third shift operations later tonight, according to the statement.
The winter storm has canceled more than 160 flights out of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
