Tornado Impacted Hazelwood Schools End One Day Later

Garrett Elementary is the only HSD school in the City of Hazelwood that will end the school year with the rest of the district on May 30.

The Hazelwood School District (HSD) schools impacted by the April 10 tornado that ripped through Hazelwood will be in school one day longer than the rest of the district.

The Board of Education approved a recommendation for a revision to the 2012-13 calendar, due to the days of school missed because of the EF2 Twister that ripped through the area.

Students at Hazelwood West High School, Hazelwood West Middle School, McNair Elementary, Russell Elementary, Armstrong Elementary and Hazelwood West Early Childhood Center, will attend school through May 31.
