Cash prizes are going to be awarded in each category. The artwork can also be sold to attending patrons. Participation guidelines and registration forms are available at either the Hazelwood Community Center or Hazelwood City Hall.
Artists may enter up to 10 pieces of art, each displayed on a easel for people of all ages to see. They can sell their works if the opportunity arises.
Hazelwood’s Community Art Fair attracts artists from all over the St. Louis region, including members of the Northside Art Association who meet regularly at Prairie Commons Library in the City of Hazelwood.
Last year, St. Peters resident Kathy Mallone Simon won a blue ribbon for the Artists’ Choice award for her painting entitled, “European Adventure.”
In conjunction with the art fair, the commission will be hosting a used book sale with hardback and paperback book bargains.
This event is free and open to the public.
