6 Things to Do in Kirkwood Before Summer is Over
From getting the most out of the rest of the summer to signing up for ice skating this fall, check in with these events from the City of Kirkwood.

Whether you're hanging on to the last bits of summer or getting ready for fall, Patch came across these events shared in newsletters from the City of Kirkwood that just may suit your fancy.
- Hot Dog Dayz of Summer -- The last day for Hot Dog Dayz is Friday, July 26. This free event will be at Meacham Memorial Park, with officers from the police department serving up hot dogs and parks and recreation staff hosting games. Read more about Hot Dog Dayz here.
- Middle School Night -- The Kirkwood Aquatic Center is hosting an event for middle school students only with music, games, and of course, the pool. The event is free to incoming and current middle school students of Glendale, Kirkwood and Oakland. It's set for Aug. 9 at 7:45-9 p.m.
- Greentree Tennis Tournament -- Registration is also now open for the Greentree Tennis Tournament Sept. 5-12. Sign-up to play here.
- Making Music Concert Series -- There are two free concerts left in this series shown at the Lion's Amphitheater. Route 66 Jazz Orchestra performs Aug. 10 at 7 p.m., and St. Louis Wind Symphony takes the stage Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.
- Pool Hours Change -- Special pool hours at the Aquatic Center switch over Aug. 20. The pool will be open 4-7:30 p.m. on weekdays, weekends 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and holidays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Skating Lessons Registration -- With classes starting Sept. 3, registration is open now for ice skating lessons. Register online here.
