Arrests After Thieves Target Kirkwood Businesses

Kirkwood police made five arrests in one week in connection to thefts from local businesses along South Kirkwood Road.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

March 25 - March 31:

Kirkwood Police arrested five adults for shoplifting from area businesses during the week. Authorities said the incidents took place at retain stores in the 1000 and 1200 blocks of South Kirkwood Road. In addition, police said two who were arrested were found in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of their arrest. Both were charged accordingly, police stated.

March 29:

At 5:15 p.m., a resident from the 200 block of Midway Avenue contacted police to report her credit card was stolen and fraudulent purchases were then made with it. The victim said her purse was stolen in Crestwood, but when she canceled her credit cards, she found two unauthorized purchases at store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
