Webster Groves Burglary Suspects Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit
A high-speed pursuit that began in Webster Groves and ended near Lafayette Square has led to the arrest of three burglary suspects.

arrested three men in the Lafayette Square area earlier this morning after a high-speed pursuit along Interstate 44, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The men, who were burglary suspects, were arrested in the 2600 block of Rutger Street after they fled police in Webster Groves at about 9 a.m. in a gray Buick, according to St. Louis County police, the Post reports.
While responding to a report of a burglary in progress in the 500 block of Locust Court, Webster Groves police observed the burglary suspectβs vehicle fleeing the area, according to a statement released by the Webster Groves Police Department.Β

Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to yield and on at least two occasions attempted to strike police vehicles. The vehicle was abandoned near the 2500 block of Rutgers Avenue, the statement says.
The suspects fled on foot to a multi-family structure in the same block of Rutgers where they were taken into custody by St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department personnel, according to the statement.

Police are not releasing the names of the suspects, who are being questioned about the Locust Court attempted burglary as well as many other similar burglaries in the area, as the investigation is still active, police say in the statement.
