Crime Log: Kirkwood Police Make Drug Arrests, Report Stolen Vehicles

The blotter for July 18-24.

Monday, July 18

• At 7:34 a.m., police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Provincial Court. A black Jeep Cherokee was stolen sometime during the previous night.
• At 9:55 a.m., a resident from the 1900 block of Westview Avenue filed a report of destruction of property. A vehicle, possibly a 2003-2007 Honda Accord, struck a post supporting four mailboxes. The post was damaged and the vehicle left the scene.
• At 7:25 p.m., officers stopped a motorist for a traffic violation in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. The driver, an adult female, was arrested after officers located illegal narcotics in her possession.        
• At 6:56 p.m., police responded to , 502 West Adams Avenue, to assist a Kirkwood Park Ranger. The ranger discovered an adult male using marijuana while in the park. He was arrested by police.

Thursday, July 21

• At 4:22 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of North Kirkwood Road. The owner of the vehicle left the keys inside the vehicle while he visited a nearby business. 

Saturday, July 23

• At 10:46 a.m., officers handled a destruction of property report at a business in the 10900 block of Manchester Road. Two glass blocks were thrown through a front window of the business sometime during the previous night.

Shoplifting, July 18-24

• Kirkwood police arrested two female shoplifters for stealing merchandise from area merchants. Businesses affected by the thefts were located in the 1000 and 1200 blocks of South Kirkwood Road.
