Des Peres Hospital Nurses Picket Citing Working Conditions, Patient Care
Registered nurses from Des Peres hospitals reportedly picketed this week over concerns that their working conditions will affect patient care.

According to KTVI, nurses from Des Peres Hospital and Saint Louis University held the informational picket Monday morning.

 More than 50 nurses reportedly gathered in front of SLU Hospital because they are concerned their working conditions will impact patient care.

KTVI reports that those demonstrating said there are times when there are not enough nurses on duty. The nurses reportedly want union contracts with both SLU and Des Peres Hospitals.
Both hospitals are owned and operated by Tenet Healthcare, KTVI stated in its report.

The nurses were taking part in a national day of action calling call for collecting bargaining contracts with Tenet Hospitals across the country, KTVI stated.
