Fozzie's Opens in Des Peres Wednesday

Fozzie's Sandwich Emporium is set to open in Des Peres Aug. 28, the shop announced on its Facebook page.

The new shop at 11656 Manchester Road will mark the second in the St. Louis area, the original opening in Richmond Heights in 2010. Fozzie's serves up sandwiches, gyros, salads and burgers.

Store hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Delivery services will also be available for the following zip codes: 63011, 63021, 63088, 63119, 63122, 63124, 63126, 63127, 63131, 63141, 63144.

1. Fozzie's Panzanella salad: olive oil grilled bread, oven-dried tomatoes, cucumber, grilled onions, fresh arugula, fresh mozzarella, capers and balsamic
2. Big Bend Mafia sandwich: Italian beef, salsiccia, giardiniera peppers & provolone on a garlic hoagie
   
3. The Pretzel sandwich: ham, pepperjack cheese and honey mustard on a pretzel roll
   
4. Black Bean burger: house-made black bean burger with lettuce, roasted peppers, caramelized onions and roasted garlic mayo
   
5. Ed's St. Louis Slaw Dog: yellow mustard, chopped onions, diced sport peppers, creamy slaw and celery salt
   
6. Classic Gyro: chicken or lamb, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, feta, kalamata olives, pepperoncini and tzatziki on pita
