Hopslam Ale, Get It While You Can
Only a few retailers in the Kirkwood area carry the limited brew. Here's where you can get it, if you hurry.

Beer enthusiasts better hurry if they want a taste of Bell's Brewery Hopslam Ale. The Double India Pale Ale is one of the hardest beers to get in St. Louis, according to co-owner Bob Gray.
"There's such a limited production and it's in such high demand," Gray said.
Because of the limited production, Grapevine customers are limited to a maximum purchase of three 12-ounce bottles at $2.75 a piece.

"It's a really hoppy IPA," Gray said. "It's brewed with honey, so there's a touch of sweetness as well."
The winter seasonal ale has 10 percent alcohol by volume and a six-month shelf life, according to the Bell's Brewery profile of Hopslam.Â

Aside from Grapevine, two other retailers in the Kirkwood area carry the beer. expects cases of Hopslam to be delivered Friday, but the store is not sure how many they will receive.
The had 13 six-packs of the beer left as of Thursday evening. The only restauarnt in the area to carry the beer was , but its Hopslam keg has been tapped.
Wine Tasting

No reservations are required for the tasting that takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. Cover at the door is $10 (no credit cards). Attendees get $5 back on any wine tasted. Fifteen to 20 wines will be available for tasting and there will be a liqueur table as well.
