Arts for Life Nominates Kirkwood High School Students for Theater Honors

Arts For Life nominated senior Max Kramer, juniors Carrie Antoine and Rachel Bisch and freshman Cole Whiting for the Thirteenth Annual Best Performance Awards for Community Musical Theatre. Kramer, Antoine, Bisch and Whiting were selected as nominees in the Best Actor or Actress category in a Youth Musical production for the musical Footloose by St. Louis Summer Players.

Over 567 community theater artists, 31 shows produced by 25 community theater groups in the Metro-St. Louis area have been reviewed for consideration for Best Performance Awards this year. Trophies will be awarded in 25 categories.

The awards ceremony will be held June 10 at the William D. Purser Centre at Logan College of Chiropractics at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be hosted by radio personality Vic Porcelli (Fresh 102.5) with a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Bob Wilcox & Gerry Kowarsky for contributions to Metro-St. Louis Community Theatre.

The event will include performances from the 12 musicals vying for Best Large, Small & Youth Production. Formal attire is requested. Tickets to the event and reception range from $18-22. Group seating is available. Tickets are available through the Arts For Life website or 314-795-2119.
