Kirkwood Man Punches Officer After Trespassing at Convenience Store, Police Say

Kirkwood police said Blake Shook punched the officer, breaking her nose and giving her a concussion.

An 18-year-old man punched a Kirkwood police officer in the face Saturday, giving the officer a broken nose and concussion, police said.

Blake Shook, 18, of the 400 block of George Street in Kirkwood, was charged Sunday with second-degree assault.

Kirkwood police said officers responded to a disturbance at the 7-Eleven store Saturday at 639 West Woodbine in Kirkwood. Shook had been told not to return to the store, and had threatened a store clerk.

When an officer attempted to handcuff him, Shook punched the officer in the face, breaking a nasal bone and giving her a concussion, police said.

Shook is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $15,000.
