Kirkwood Police Ask for Help in Catching Man Suspected in Credit Card Theft
The Kirkwood Police Department is seeking information about a man suspected of making $4,000 in fraudulent purchases.
The Kirkwood Police Department is asking for help in identifying and locating the individual responsible for the theft of a watch and wallet and subsequent repeated fraudulent use of credit cards contained in the wallet.
The watch and wallet were stolen from a gym locker at a local fitness facility in Kirkwood, the police department said in a statement Tuesday. Credit cards from the wallet were used within an hour at two retails stores in Crestwood, where the suspect purchased electronics and gift cards totaling in excess of $4,000.
The suspect is described as a light skinned, heavy-set black male between 35-50 years of age wearing glasses and a flat top hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Andy Alderman of the Kirkwood Police Department at 314-822-5882.
