Kirkwood Police Receiving Identity Theft Reports Linked to Schnucks Security Breach
Kirkwood police said they've received at least 14 recent reports of debit and credit card fraud from residents related to the Schnucks security breach.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.Â
March 25 - March 31:
Kirkwood Police said they received fourteen reports of identity theft during this time period related to the Schnucks store credit and debit card security breach. Investigators said all of the incidents involved the victim’s credit card accounts being used to make fraudulent purchases in other states.

March 29:
At 5:15 p.m., a resident from the 200 block of Midway Avenue contacted police to report her credit card was stolen and fraudulent purchases were then made with it. The victim said her purse was stolen in Crestwood, but when she canceled her credit cards, she found two unauthorized purchases at store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
