Kirkwood Police Report Home Burglary, Thefts

The following arrest information was supplied by the Kirkwood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 5

At 10:03 a.m., a resident from the 400 block of South Taylor Avenue called police to report that a BMX-style bicycle was stolen from the rear deck of the residence.Β

Wednesday, July 6

At 12:47 a.m., police stopped a motorist for a traffic violation near the intersection of Crest and Nirk Avenues. Investigation led to the arrest of the adult male driver after he was found to have an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana.Β

Friday, July 8

At 6:38 p.m., police were notified of a credit card that was stolen some time during the last week of June. The resident went away for vacation and returned home to find several fraudulent charges on the credit card account at gas stations throughout the St. Louis area.Β  Detectives are investigating.Β 

At 11:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 400 block of Attucks Street. The homeowner reported a flat screen TV stolen.Β 

Saturday, July 9

At 1:29 a.m., officers arrested an adult male as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of South Kirkwood Road and Monroe Avenue. The male had been driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:50 a.m., an adult female driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of North Kirkwood Road and Huntleigh Forest Drive. She was charged with possession of alcohol by a person less than 21 years of age.Β Β 

Sunday, July 10

At 9:15 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Westview Avenue for a theft report. The resident reported a mountain bike and several tools were stolen from the garage some time within the previous two weeks.Β  Β 

At 2:13 p.m., officers received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Wind Grove Road. A laptop was stolen from the vehicle.Β 

Monday, July 4 through Sunday, July 10

Kirkwood police arrested one adult male and two adult females for shoplifting merchandise from area businesses. All of the thefts occurred at a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
