Kirkwood Police Report Vehicle Break-ins, Shoplifting

Monday, June 6
- At 6:09 p.m., a vehicle was broken into while parked in the 300 block of North Taylor Avenue.Β A purse and wallet were stolen from the vehicle.Β

Wednesday, June 8
- At 11:06 p.m., officers were summoned to the 600 block of West Woodbine Avenue for a destruction of property report. A rock was thrown from a passing yellow-colored vehicle and struck the windshield of another vehicle causing damage to the windshield. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.Β Β

- At 2:04 p.m., police responded to a vehicle break-in in the 700 block of South Holmes Avenue. A vehicle had a window broken and purse stolen while the owner was using the nearby bike trail.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
Friday, June 10
- At 8:14 a.m., a resident from the 700 block of Lynkirk Lane notified police of damage to a mailbox. Officers located four residences on Lynkirk, one residence on Ben Davis Lane, and one residence on Kimkirk Court that had damaged mailboxes.Β
Saturday, June 11
- At 3:54 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Timberview Road. One vehicle struck two parked vehicles. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.Β
- At 5:12 p.m., police stopped a motorist for a traffic violation near the intersection of Dickson Street and East Essex Avenue. Investigation led to the arrest of the adult male driver after drug paraphernalia was found in his possession.Β
Sunday, June 12
- At 2:26 p.m., police were dispatched to a theft report on Provincial Court. A Kenwood stereo was stolen from a vehicle sometime during the overnight hours.Β Β Β
Shoplifting: Monday, June 6 - Sunday, June 12
- Kirkwood police arrested three females and two males for shoplifting merchandise from area businesses. All incidents occurred at retail stores in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
