completed its 2011-2014 strategic plan. With input from over 350 individuals in the Kirkwood community via focus groups and online surveys, the library’s Board of Trustees and library managers, the following three directions were approved by the board, under cover of the library’s mission statement, “the Kirkwood Public Library is dedicated to providing information services and resources which enrich and enlighten the community.”
- Create and encourage reading in youth and teens;
- Satisfy curiosity and stimulate imagination; and
- Information literacy.
We are excited to carry out the goals associated with these directions and look forward to serving the Kirkwood community's specific needs. For more information on the plan please contact Sarah Erwin, library director, via email serwin@kirkwoodpubliclibrary.org or by phone 314-821-5770.
