Marshmallow Stunts Land Kirkwood Family in Commercial
A Kirkwood family's ability to catch marshmallows in their mouths earned them $500 in gas and a spot on a television commercial.
Hanging from a tree, jumping a trashcan, dunking a basketball—It seems like the Hagertys can catch a marshmallow in their mouths while doing just about anything. And last month, this unique talent earned them $500 in gas and a spot on a commercial.
John and Luke Hagerty, of Kirkwood, caught 14 marshmallows and submitted the video to the Phillips 66 Local Legends contest, where people submitted videos of their special talents.
The Hagertys' video received fifth place out of 200 submissions, earning the family a $500 gas card.

The video may not have won first place, but Phillips 66 chose them to be in an advertisement (see the video above) airing in Amarillo, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and Kansas City, MO.
