Police Warn Resident: Fireworks Are Illegal

Glendale police said the initial calls came in as gunshots, but it turned out it was a resident illegally shooting off fireworks.

The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

June 23: 

At 9:17 p.m., officers responded to numerous calls for gunshots in the area of Brownell, Chelsea and Albert Avenues. The officers’ investigation revealed the noise was actually due to fireworks being discharged by a resident of the 900 block of W. Kirkham. The resident received a warning, advising him the discharge of fireworks was illegal within St. Louis County.
