The members of Midnight Red, an emerging pop group, are taking time off from touring with New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys to give youngsters in Kirkwood's Summer Adventure Camp a unique lesson in what it means to be a professional artist.
Between 10:45 a.m. and noon Tuesday, the stars will perform some of their popular songs at Tillman Elementary School. They also will talk to students about working as an entertainer, song writing and business aspects of making music a career, the says in a statement.
The performance ties in with the camp's "Old TimeΒ Podcast (Radio Theater)" course where kids explore the world of radio theater by reading and listening to old radio scripts and developing their own ideas for a performance. Students write scripts, gather sound effects and record their own radio shows, according to the district.
