Sweet Shepherd, Adorable Aussie Need Homes
Meet Prudie, Root Beer and other adoptable pets at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.
Meet Prudie
This wonderful senior German Shepherd came to Senior Dogs 4 Seniors through another rescue group after a police raid in Jefferson County where 18 German Shepherds were removed from living in squallor in a backyard.
Prudie is absolutely incredible! She is fully house trained. We've found Prudie has a number of chronic medical problems she'll have to contend with for the remainder of her life. Hip Dysplasia with knee and hip arthritis and has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Due to her hip and knee problems she takes daily medication twice a day and sleeps on an orthopoedic bed for her weary body. This lady wants nothing more than to be petted when she wants, a warm comfy bed and to eat good food. Prudie is a wonderful Senior Lady.

Meet Root Beer
Root Beer is a 4 to 5-year-old male red Australian Shepherd available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. He's a handsome little guy with his beautiful red coloring and big sweet eyes.
Root Beer used to be in a puppymill. Fortunately for him, the facility shut down and he has a chance to become someone's pet. He is just a bit shy but he is eager to make new friends.
If you would like to meet Root Beer or our other senior and not-so-senior adoptable pets looking for homes this holiday season stop by the this weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
