Just Think, It Will Be Spring By The End Of March, Or April Or May
Where did I leave the gloves, scarf, snow shovel and ice scraper anyway?

Repeat after me, “I hate winter.”
Oh, they say the snow is pretty.
I say, "Pretty deep."
I’d rather be basking in glorious sunshine in Florida, the Caribbean or somewhere in exotic Central America than tramping through the waist-deep white stuff here.
The days just seem so damp and gray and grungy.

Don't you just love the cacophonic sounds of trucks scraping the streets with those snow plows? It's hardly music to anyone's ears.
Winter reminds me of ice and snow and sleet and rain. That’s the dreary stuff that makes us wish fondly for springtime.
I can just sit around and sulk and think of all the things that need to be done to prepare for winter.
My gutters are clogged with debris and my yard is full of the fallen leaves. No one has offered to rake up the leaves for free yet.

- Grow a beard.
- Get the winter parka out of moth balls.
- Get the snow shovel out of the basement.
- Call a travel agent and book a flight—anywhere.
- Pack away the shorts and swimwear for the season.
- Plan longer naps.

Dave Murray might love this weather, but I don’t.
The only good news is that with winter, springtime is just around the corner. I can just hear the crack of the bat at spring training. I will be in search of those Bermuda shorts once again. The suntan lotion and sunglasses must be hidden somewhere I can still find them?
Hope springs eternal for the return of spring. Life awakens once more as the snow melts away for the final time.
Hang in there, relief is just around the corner. Only November, December, January and February and most of March to go. That’s if it doesn’t snow in April and May.
