At Last, Missoula, Montana and Glorious Day of Rest
Larissa Powers says Montana is the most beautiful state the riders have been in so far.
Missoula, Montana...This is what our local rider Larissa Powers had to say in her frequent blog. The 3,300 mile trip has rolled into beautiful Montana.
"In Thompson Falls, Montana for the night. Around 90 miles completed... My rear end is so sore and tired (dang chip seal). 101 miles to Missoula and then a glorious rest day."
The 17 riders have arrived in Missoula for a wonderful day of catchup. They get to sleep; clean their bikes, spread out the gear and most important, spend some time at the Big Dipper Ice Cream store in downtown Missoula.

There, they will be greeted by locals, including the mayor of the city, and the executive director of the American Lung Association in Montana. Also, officials from the local university (University of Montana) will be at this planned reception today.
Tomorrow, its back in the saddle for a 99 miles ride down the road to Avon, MT. They don't call Montana Big Sky Country for nothing.
