Bonsack Gallery to feature work of
Howard Jones

A public reception is planned for this Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Works by art teacher Howard Jones will be on display in the Bonsack Gallery at John Burroughs from September 2 through October 11. Jones, a painting and drawing teacher at John Burroughs Schools, says of his work, “I have found the common to be a worthy source of investigation, either to pay homage to or re-interpret.

The function of everyday objects is the focus of this body of work. The refined design, elegant in its simplicity, that defines extension of human effort of these devices is presented here to acknowledge its beauty and utility.”

All are invited to a public reception hosted by the artist from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, on Friday, September 2, in the gallery. Regular gallery hours are 8 am to 6:30 pm, weekdays. The exhibit is free to the public. For more information, contact Donya Allison (Fine Arts) at 314-993-4045 ext. 229 or dallison@jburroughs.org.
