Community School Annual Giving Tree

Throughout the month of December, Community School students donated to the annual "Giving Tree."

The tree stands in the Community Center throughout the month, and the entire student body gradually fills it with new mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves. Diapers and wipes are placed under the tree.

Just before school is out for Winter Break, the items are donated to SSDN (formerly South Side Day Nursery).

This year, 426 items were donated to the Giving Tree and to the children of SSDN.
