Conway Cupids Provide for the Needy
Each Valentines, Conway Students & Parents Package Meals for the Hungry.
Each Valentine's weekend, the children and parents at Conway School in Ladue prepare meals for the less fortunate.
This tradition has now reached the fifth year. Under Chuck Gerding's leadership, some 400 complete meals were boxed and delivered to the St. Patrick's Center in downtown St. Louis.
This is at no expense to Conway School. The parents pay for the bread, meat, cheese, the fruit cup, applesauce and fresh fruit that goes into each bag. More than 2,000 meals have been packaged the past five years. Last year's recipients was St. Vincent DePaul Charity. Children decorate the colorful bags in art class prior to the weekend activity.
