St. Louis Crisis Nursery Fun Run this Sunday

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery will host the 5th Annual Fun Run and Wellness Walk on Sunday, May 6th, 2012. Jake Simpher, a senior at John Burroughs School, created the 5K run and 1.5-mile walk as an annual fundraiser for the Crisis Nursery.

The Crisis Nursery Fun Run and Wellness Walk is open to all ages and begins at 10 a.m. from John Burroughs School, 755 Price Road, just west of Clayton Road. John Knicely and Claire Kellett of KMOV-TV will be Honorary Runners.

The Fun Run and Wellness Walk includes t-shirts for the first 200 entrants, a mascot race with Fred Bird and the Coca-Cola Bear, drinks and snacks after the race, door prizes, and awards for the first male and female in each category. Shop ‘n Save, Coca-Cola and Walmart are the corporate sponsors.

Entry fee is $20 for adults and $10 for students, with all proceeds benefiting Crisis Nursery. Kids under 6 are free. Same-day registration and packet pick-up begins at 9:00 a.m. and the event begins at 10 a.m. On-line registration is at www.GetMeRegistered.com/STLCrisisRun.
