Ladue Names New High School Principal

Bradley Griffith is currently the school's Associate Principal.

The Ladue School District announced Tuesday morning that Bradley Griffith, the Associate Principal at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, has been hired by the district to be the school's next principal.

Griffith succeeds Bridget Hermann, who announced that she would resign at the end of the current academic year. At the time of her announcement, Hermann cited philosophical differences and the "significant time justifying the need for educational initiatives," and "clarifying day-to-day administrative decisions."

“This last year has given me a great opportunity to learn both the strengths and the opportunities for improvement that exist within our high school," said Griffith, who came to the district from Georgetown Preparatory School in Maryland last fall, in a statement released by the district. "I look forward to working through a smooth transition with Dr. Hermann and then leading this talented staff forward as we strive for continuous improvement in preparing our students for success both academically and in life.”

Tuesday morning's statement indicated the potential for more announcements this week on the vacancy Griffith's promotion creates, in addition to how the district will handle the position of Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. Donna Jahnke is leaving that position effective July 1 when she becomes the district's new superintendent.
