Lineup Set for Local Mayoral, Council Races in Ladue & Frontenac

Ladue to get a new mayor. Frontenac returns veteran Keith Krieg unopposed.

Update: 9:43 am. Frontenac had a last day filing. Add to the list Kate Hatfield, Ward 1.

Yesterday, at 5 o’clock, all filing ended for local council and mayoral races in Ladue and Frontenac. These are the candidates for the Ladue City Council. No candidate has an opponent in the April 2 election.

Council Member Ward 1 – Art Bond, incumbent

Council Member Ward 2 – John Fox, incumbent

Council Member Ward 3 – Bill Brennan

Mayor Anthony “Tony” Bommarito elected to step down after one term and after serving 10 years on the council. The race for the open seat will be contested between council member Nancy Spewak and insurance executive Ed Hempstead, Jr.

Spewak’s children are all graduates of Ladue Horton Watkins High School. She runs her own home staging and residential design business. No information on Hempstead is yet available.

In Frontenac: Mayor Keith Krieg of 1024 Mavilla Lane will run unopposed for another term.
