Patch: How is the Season Going?
TR: We've had an amazing season this year, we won almost all of our duel meets, got third place at the Lindbergh Invitational even though like half of our team was sick, and we've all become really close.
I'm so proud of how hard everybody has been working and I think state is when we can really show off how much effort we've put into this.
Patch: What is your favorite thing about being on the team?
TR: I definitely love how much fun our team has. Half the practice I'm laughing so hard that I'm crying. I love how I consider my teammates some of my best friends and I'm so sad to see the season coming to an end.
Patch: Comment on any Special Accomplishments.
TR: This year I got my state cuts within the first few weeks of the season and I won first in the 100 Butterfly at our conference meet, so I was really excited about both of those things.
But our most special accomplishment this year was winning the Metro League Conference Swim Meet, that was the first time we've ever won our conference and every single girl made it back to finals. Our team worked so hard and it really paid off- especially since we lost the meet last year by one point.
Patch: What Athlete Do I Admire the Most?
TR: Obviously I admire all of the Olympic Swimmers because what they do is actually incredible to watch. But, the type athlete I admire is the person who wakes up early for practice, makes a list of goals, and works everyday to accomplish those things.
And maybe they don't go to the Olympics or win all of the medals, but they're true athletic heroes.
Patch: What is your favorite Song in your I-Pod?
TR: "Marry the Night" by Lady Gaga and of course "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. Both of them get me really pumped up to race.
