MVP: Week No. 4, Time to Nominate Your Favorite Athletes

Track performers getting a lot of attention. Plenty of athletes worthy of recognition.

Time to get going for MVP for week No. 4.

There are many local athletes who are richly deserving of recognition. Here we go:

Zeke Elliott, Burroughs track and field. first place in the 110 highs and the 300 meter hurdles, and third in the 100 yard dash at the Clayton Invitational.

Elena Gresick, Ladue lacrosse. 75 goals, 23 assists, 98 points, second highest total in the metro.

Katie Prosperi, St. Joseph’s Academy lacrosse. 35 goals, 23 assists, 57 points.

Claire Ringenberg, MICDS soccer. 21 assists, No. 1 in the area. Rams have won 8 of their last 9 games.

Haley Pryor, MICDS track and field. New school and meet pole vault record 11-3 at the Marion Freeman Clayton Invitational. Top jumper in the state of Missouri this year.

Andrea Hermann, Villa Duchesne soccer. Goal keeper with an 8-1 record in starts, 2 shutouts and a goals against average of 1.30 per game.

Anyone can nominate any athlete they so desire. The ones with the most nominations will make up this week’s ballot. Balloting begins Wednesday morning and ends at 5 p.m.Thursday. The winner is announced on Saturday.
