Patch Contributor Named Editor of School Newspaper at St. Joseph's Academy

Courtney Brooks will be Editor in Chief of the Voice this school year.

Congratulations are in order: Courtney Brooks, 17 has been named Editor in Chief of the school newspaper, "The Voice" at St. Joseph's Academy this academic year.

Brooks will be heading into her senior year in August. This past year, she has contributed features and columns under the title of "Courtney's Corner" for the Ladue-Frontenac Patch. She was a feature writer for the Voice her junior year at St. Joe.

Brooks will be in charge of all areas including news, features, sports, opinion, photography, etc. The Voice has been the official newspaper of St. Joseph's Academy since 1983 and publishes eight editions during the school year.

Brooks is planning on pursuing a degree in journalism in college and is considering the journalism schools at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Indiana University and the University of North Carolina.

She attended a journalism writers' workshop at Mizzou this summer. She will continue in her capacity as a teen writer for the Ladue-Frontenac Patch throughout this coming school year.
