Science, Engineering Students Strike it Rich at Villa Duchesne

Team advancing to state final competition April 17 in Rolla.

 

Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School is advancing to the state finals in the 2012 Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) Academic Challenge.

The Villa Duchesne team placed first in the regional challenge for the Small School division.

Villa Duchesne’s Madelaine Behrens, Kristen Buehne, Sophie Flotron, Meghan Grojean, Morgan Link, Jordyn Lucas, Lauren Nickson, Megan Pohl, and Catherine Wagner compete for the state title on April 17 at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla.

The WYSE Academic Challenge is a competitive series of multiple-choice tests in seven subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Mathematics, and Physics.
