No, the Ladue School District has not proposed the wearing of school uniforms for any of its children now or anytime.
However, a lively discussion is breaking out with the Ladue Parents Information Exchange Face Book page. Some parents are starting to show interest in the proposal. Parents are slowly lining up on both sides of the discussion.
School uniforms accomplish a lot of goals. For one, buying uniforms is much less expensive than purchasing stylish and fashionable class room outfits.

Secondly, uniforms would give all students a consistent look. It would really help parents who are already on a tight budget. The pressure to so call "keep up with the Joneses" would go away.
Students, especially in the younger grades wouldn't have to fret over which outfit to wear each day. The choices would be easy especially for the younger ones.

The parents would be able to extricate themselves from the Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, North Face premium costs dress to impress contest.
A pair of khaki pants or shorts and a polo or sweat shirt could go a long way. Parents could easily mix and match to keep outfits clean and ready for daily wear.
