ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (October 20, 2021) - County Executive Dr. Sam Page is accepting applications to serve on the County Council Bipartisan Reapportionment Commission.

The bipartisan commission is charged with redrawing the seven County Council district boundaries based on decennial census population numbers.
The commission currently has two vacancies: a Republican commissioner in District 2 and a Democrat in District 7. Applications also are being accepted for a Republican commissioner in District 4, in anticipation of a vacancy.

To be eligible, each nominee shall be a registered voter in the council district they would represent. Commission members can hold no other elected office.
According to the county charter, the commission shall reapportion the council districts so that there is an equal number of residents in each district.

Those who are interested and qualified should submit an online application no later than 5 p.m. October 27.
The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for Nov. 1.
