Three-Day Clayton Shaw Park Swim Meet Gets Underway

Hundreds of swimmers from St. Louis, out of state descend upon Clayton's pool.

One of the surest things each summer is the annual Invitational at the Clayton Shaw Park municipal pool. This is the 74th annual meet, and this year as it has been for many, the meet is sponsored by the Clayton Shaw Park Tideriders swim team.

The Tide Riders have many entries in a meet age appropriate eight and under through adult seniors categories.

Many high school swimmers will test their skills over this weekend, running through Sunday night.

The meet is held under the sanction of USA Swimming and all the technical and administrative rules of USA Swimming apply to this meet.

This meet is as much social as it is competitive. The out of town swimmers, their parents and coaches always look forward to this meet.
