Twelve MICDS Seniors Named National Merit Scholarship Competition Semifinalists
Approximately 16,000 students took part in the testing this year.

Twelve seniors at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS) have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the approximately 16,000 students from across the country named by officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, and were the highest-scoring entrants based upon results of last year’s Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
These academically talented students now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million that will be offered next spring.
