Villa Duchesne's International Visit: 5 Things to Know

Students from the sister school of Frontenac's Villa Duchesne traveled from Japan to visit the West County campus. Here are some highlights.

According to a recent post on Ladue-Frontenac Patch, students from a sister school in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan spent an afternoon on the Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School campus.

Following are some highlights from the visit, also included in the announcement posted on Patch.

  1. Seventeen students and two teachers from Fuji Seishin Joshi Gakuin were welcomed by ten Villa Duchesne student ambassadors. 
  2. This was more than just an opportunity for Villa Duchesne students to learn about another culture. 
  3. In the past year, Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School has hosted 15 international students from nine different countries.
  4. This visit is an annual tradition hosted by the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, Missouri and led by Shrine of St. Philippine Duchesne Director Carol Pfitzinger. 
  5. The students from Japan also spent time touring other parts of St. Louis.
