Vote Yes on Proposition "S" for Public Safety in Olivette
Long time local artist backs passage of this $9 million dollar proposition.

Letter to the Editor:
I am astonished that my fellow citizens are actually taking steps to encourage their fellow citizens to vote against Prop. S and, in doing so, not support the very people whose job is to take care of them in their times of need--Olivette's police officers and firefighters.
These men & women are currently working in unsafe, decrepit facilities which prevent them from storing their emergency equipment safely so that it can be available to them when they rush out to help their community--whether to fight a fire at a home or business, stop a home invasion, treat a heart attack victim, intervene in a domestic quarrel, or prevent a robbery.
These police officers and fire fighters are exceptional individuals who take the time to know the community in which we all live. They need your support NOW. Not after more investigations or committee meetings.

They have had three years of such investigations. The economic times are not good--we all acknowledge that--but in difficult times it is even more important to make sure that money is set aside to keep our community safe.
Vote Yes on S to support those individuals whose job it is to help you in an emergency. Vote Yes on S on August 7th to keep Olivette safe.
Sincerely,
Marian Steen
