Webster Groves coach Andrew Hittler knows building a lacrosse program is no overnight matter. It takes nurturing at the lower levels to compete at the varsity. The Lady Statesmen got their mouth guards handed to them, absorbing a 13-0 clock-shortened game at John Burroughs Wednesday. By halftime, most of the Burroughs starters were on the bench. Leanne Hurster had four-first half goals, Barrett Carlson three and Abby Frerotte, senior goal tender recorded a rare shutout for this sport. Burroughs is 10-3, Webster tumbled to 7-11.
