Accident Closes Northbound Hanley at Bruno

Two power poles have broken, with live wires crossing South Hanley.

Northbound South Hanley Road is closed at Bruno Avenue due to a crash that caused a car to hit a power pole, that snapped, causing live wires to block Hanley Road in both directions, as reported by KSDK News.

Major Dan Fitzgerald said it was a one-car accident in which the driver either passed out or fell asleep, and the car ran into the telephone pole.  He was not injured.

Major Dan Fitzgerald said Richmond Heights police are still on the scene, and that now only northbound Hanley is closed to traffic. Traffic is being diverted onto Bruno and Strassner avenues.
