Borders Liquidation Sale Started Friday

in Brentwood was packed at mid-morning on Friday. The lines stretched through the store and prospective book-buyers crowded each aisle.

That's because the store started at 9 a.m. on Friday. Everything in the store was marked down 10 to 40 percent off of the original price.

All books in the science fiction and fantasy section (my personal favorite) were only marked down 10 percent, but other areas—like romance, for example—had savings of 30 percent or more.

Borders hasn't announced when its last day will be, but if you need a couple books, you might stop by on your way home from work.
