Former Walmart Employees Charged With Stealing Electronics

Police said electronics items were stolen over three days in November.

Four former employees were charged Thursday in St. Louis County Circuit Court with stealing.

said in a report that Dalvin E. Wiley, 19, Damine Thornton, 18, Miguel Allen, 23, and Christopher Smith, 21, stole electronic items from the store.

Wiley and Thornton, of the 5300 block of Arsenal Street in St. Louis, face three charges of stealing. Allen, of the 4400 block of Holly in St. Louis, and Smith, of the 3800 block of Teton Creek Court in North County, both are charged with one count of stealing.

Police said in the report that the four stole two Samsung LED televisions, two PlayStation 3 game systems and two Wii game systems from the Walmart at 1900 Maplewood Commons Drive about 7:15 p.m. Nov. 30. Police said they loaded the electronics, valued at $1,295, into Wiley and Allen’s cars. The items were recovered from the cars, according to the report.

The report states Wiley and Thornton also took three Compaq laptop computers at about 6:50 p.m. Nov. 25 and stole three XBox 360 game systems, valued at $900, on Nov. 26.

All three incidents were captured on video surveillance, police said.
