Results Are In For Maplewood Municipal Elections

MAPLEWOOD, MO — Sandi Phillips will represent Maplewood's first ward after winning Tuesday's election with 58 percent of the vote. Ralph Posley and Wesley Robb have won seats on the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School Board with 31 percent of the vote and 37 percent of the vote, respectively. Brandi Herndon-Miller defeated Lori Kristjansson for another school board seat, winning 62 percent of the vote. And Proposition T has passed, raising property taxes to cover trash collection.

As of 7:00 p.m., when the polls closed, countywide turnout was at about 13.4 percent, according to the St. Louis County Board of Elections.

Washington University graduate student Kyle Oberle; InterContinental Hotels Group revenue manager Sandi L. Phillips; and Owen Skoler, a creatives services manager, squared off for a seat on the city council in Ward 1.

Ralph E. Posley, Wesley Robb and Kathleen S. Selinger competed for seats on the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School Board.

Brandi R. Herndon-Miller, an attorney, and Lori Kristjansson, a Washington University financial analyst also competed for another seat on the School Board.

Proposition T will was on the ballot. The measure will raise property taxes by 10 cents per $100 to cover trash collection costs.
