Girls on the Run, Sherwood Forest, Woman's Place Compete for $15,000 Online

Three local organizations are competing for $15,000 and need your votes online.

Maplelwood nonprofits , and all have projects in the running.

Monsanto’s Grow St. Louis competition awards $15,000 to the top vote-getter online. Second and third places receive $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. The contest is open to nonprofits and voting runs until Aug. 26.

Supporters can vote once per day at this website.

Sherwood Forest helps children who have grown up in poverty. A donation from Grow St. Louis helps these children reach their full potential! Experiential learning, uniquely possible at Sherwood Forest, is a powerful way for these children to achieve positive educational and youth development outcomes.

There is never any charge for services, programs or seminars at Woman’s Place. Grants,donations, and fundraising events provide the majority of the funding. The award money would be used to continue the expanded sexual assault services, to implement enhanced crisis assessment and crisis counseling, and to develop and co-facilitate a new support group designed specifically for sexual assault survivors.

, distributes scholarships for girls who cannot afford to join. If won, the money would go toward the $360,000 in scholarships awarded through the nonprofit.
