Man Steals Brother's Identity to Set Up Gas Service in Maplewood, Police Say

Maplewood Police said it's not the first time Craig Stainbrook used his brother's identity to get services.

A man is accused of using his brother’s identity to set up gas service at his Maplewood residence.

Craig Stainbrook, 42, of the 7500 block of Woodland Avenue in Maplewood, was charged with identity theft, a class C felony.

Maplewood Police said he used his brother’s name, address and personal identification to charge $530 to his brother’s account. Police said he had used his brother’s name and personal information in a similar incident in the past.

Bond has been set at $10,000 for Stainbrook.
