Cars Damaged in Break-in Attempt on Lohmeyer: Maplewood Crime Report

May 28

  • An 18-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $375 in clothing from a Maplewood Commons business. She was also charged with giving false information, for not giving the arresting officer her real name.
  • A 52-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, who lives in the 2500 block of Bellevue Avenue. A computer inquiry also showed that the suspect was wanted by Maplewood Police Department for several outstanding warrants.
  • Someone stole construction equipment valued at $900 from the 2500 block of Big Bend Boulevard. The equipment had been chained to a tree, which had been cut with bolt cutters.

  • Suspects damaged the door handles of two cars in the area of Lohmeyer Avenue and Laclede Station Road trying to break into them. Witnesses saw a Pontiac Grand Prix occupied by four black males flee the area after one of the vehicle's alarm activated. There was no property reported missing from the vehicles.
